Network Engineer – Managed Services

We're looking for a Network Engineer to play a key role within our Managed Services team, serving as a technical expert while helping design, stabilize, and support complex client environments across central Minnesota. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to high-level IT initiatives, and help deliver the kind of service that keeps clients with us long term.
This is a hybrid, full-time role based out of our Willmar or Saint Cloud office, with a mix of remote work and client site visits throughout the region.
Position Summary
- Collaborate with the service desk and network engineering teams to resolve complex networking issues
- Provide onsite and remote support to clients across highly diverse environments
- Monitor, manage, and maintain client systems using RMM tools
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and resolve network, server, and end-user issues
- Communicate project updates and issue status to clients and internal teams via PSA tools, documentation, email, and phone
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to expedite issue resolution
- Manage and document service tickets with accurate time entry
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation (approximately 1 week every 5-6 weeks)
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security best practices

Skills & Requirements
- 3+ years of Network Engineering experience in a Managed Service Provider environment
- 5+ years of combined IT field experience (network engineering, service desk, field technician, or similar)
- Strong expertise in networking fundamentals: firewalls, switches, network protocols, and VPN; virtualization experience is a plus
- Hands-on experience with SonicWall, Fortinet, and/or Ubiquiti preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and/or Azure administration
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery monitoring; familiarity with Datto and Slide preferred
- Experience supporting Microsoft Server 2016-2022 environments
- Knowledge of cybersecurity incident response and best practices
- Experience with ConnectWise and IT Glue preferred
- Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a drug test and CJIS authorization requirements
* OTE for this role is between $60k - $100k+ depending on your experience. We have uncapped commissions, so your success is celebrated!
